Matthew’s Marine Air Conditioning Doubles the Fort Lauderdale Facility and Adds Several Experienced Technicians to the Team

October 21, 2005 - Ft. Lauderdale, FL Matthew’s Marine Air Conditioning Inc. announced their completed expansion of the Fort Lauderdale Marina Mile facility and added several experienced technicians to the team to meet the growing demand for their air conditioning products and services for mega yachts.  Fresh on the heels of a successful summer season expansion in Newport, Rhode Island, they have doubled their Fort Lauderdale facility and added staff to accommodate more clients and demand for custom products that are optimized for better performance and lower maintenance costs.  Additionally, they have increased the “port side” service offering that delivers the outstanding service of Matthew’s Marine Air Conditioning products and staff to any port where the vessel resides.

“We kept waiting for the usual marine business summer slow down in South Florida to start but we were consistently busy all summer.  When I had to start turning down work or felt that the quality of our service would suffer to meet the demand, I knew it was time to increase our local facility and add more experienced staff to meet the client’s needs” stated Matthew Pinnell, owner of Matthew’s Marine Air Conditioning.  Matthew Pinnell, as much of his staff, have been providing superior marine air conditioning and refrigeration services for many years with a specialization in mega yachts, or vessels over 100 feet.

Leveraging his extensive marine A/C experience Matthew Pinnell struck out on his own by opening Matthew’s Marine Air Conditioning over five years ago and has seen continuous growth since the inception.  Strategically focusing on the mega yacht market, Matthew’s Marine has developed an expertise that has led to a growth area of product customization that result in a better fit for the tight space of mega yachts, improved vessel optimization and lower maintenance costs.  Increasingly, Matthew’s Marine is being tasked with complete retrofits and new builds such that he can apply his optimization philosophy from the ground up instead of having to customize parts after they have been installed.

When one of his most experienced technicians left for the Newport expansion, Matthew immediately looked for equally experienced technicians in South Florida who could offer the superior quality that is the hallmark of Matthew’s Marine.  This process resulted in the addition of three very experienced and seasoned marine technicians who kept things rolling through the busy summer and are now ramping up for another busy fall/winter season in South Florida.  “I believe strongly in treating my technicians, as I do my customers, with the utmost respect.  That attitude and my many years of making contacts in the industry have helped me attract the best technicians in the business” stated Matthew Pinnell.  In addition to offering seasonal services in Newport and year round business in South Florida, Matthew’s Marine increased their signature “port side” service where technicians travel to a yacht’s port.  Currently, they have a team in a location in Georgia.

Matthew’s Marine Air Conditioning Incorporated is a thriving Fort Lauderdale marine business who offers excellence in marine air conditioning and refrigeration for large vessels.
